IRVING, TEXAS ––Make-A-Wish® North Texas is pleased to announce that Jamil N. Alibhai and Calvin Carter will be joining the Board of Directors. The Board provides leadership for carrying out the mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses across the 161 North Texas counties served.
“Both Jamil and Calvin bring a wealth of experience in corporate and community leadership and will undoubtedly provide invaluable strategic guidance,” said Scotty Landry, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish North Texas. “We are very excited to welcome them to our Board of Directors.”
New Board Member: Jamil N. Alibhai – Chair, Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Munck Wilson Mandala, LLP
Jamil N. Alibhai is a member of Munck Wilson Mandala’s executive committee and chairs the complex litigation/dispute resolution group. As a college student, Alibhai was a skilled debater and represented his alma mater (NYU) at the National, North American and World Parliamentary Debate Championships. In 2015, Alibhai was honored as one of National Law Journal’s winning litigators for his work on a patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation case that was tried to a jury. That year, Munck Wilson was also among the firms recognized by NLJ as America’s Elite Trial Lawyers. Alibhai continues to take on challenging cases that result in remarkable wins for his clients. His litigation team represents clients in intellectual property disputes, complex commercial litigation cases and appeals in state and federal courts nationwide.
Alibhai has an immense and successful history of representation, along with numerous publications and media accolades and awards. Alibhai is a member of the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Federal Circuit Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association.
